In this role, you would provide high quality support to college students and liaise with colleagues, and external agencies in order to meet the College’s mission, aims and objectives.

As a Learning Support Tutor (SEMH), you will be responsible for:

  • Providing 1:1 or small group intervention support to learners with SEMH needs
  • Supporting learners with emotional literacy and positive coping strategies
  • Supporting learners with personal development, social skills and confidence building
  • Tracking the progress of learners with SEMH needs to monitor the impact of the interventions
  • Documenting the support provided to learners on relevant College systems
  • Liaising with teaching colleagues, parents and external agencies
  • Making referrals to external agencies

Qualification required:

  • Relevant teaching qualification for post-16 Education
     
  • Relevant SEMH / Mental Health support qualification
